For those who only read these updates for our latest thoughts on the markets and economy, I have good news to report on the stock market. At this very moment, some market technicians and economists believe we are getting closer to the next stock market recovery than ever before. While we might still be waiting for a little while to see the market turn around, we know that over long periods of time, the market has always moved forward, and we continue to feel hopeful that this recovery can begin before the year ends.

Speaking of recovery, I’ll be wishing a speedy recovery to any Notre Dame fans out there from the heartbreak they may endure after they watch their team play The Ohio State this Saturday night. Notre Dame hasn’t beaten Ohio State since 1936 and this author is hoping that stat doesn’t change for a very long time.

We hope you have a chance to enjoy some time with family and friends over this holiday weekend. Whether it’s gathering for a cookout, enjoying these last days of the pools being open or going for a hike, we hope you can get outside and enjoy the summer while it’s still here.
